Why Bill Ayers matters
Watch this and judge for yourself:
What matters is that Obama seems unable to understand that his willingness to form working relationships with a host of unsavory characters calls into question his vaunted judgment. Given his inexperience and thin record character matters a great deal.
The fact that Ayers is unrepentant and Obama has never even raised the issue until he ran for president speaks volumes about Obama’s perspective.
Obama wants us to believe that he is a different sort of politician, but his history instead points to just another Chicago politician who tries to get along without getting tainted by the corruption and controversy swirling around him.
The questions about Ayers/Wright/Jones get to the heart of what type of person Obama is and what kind of president he would be. In and of itself Ayers might not be big issue, but add in Rev. Wright, Emil Jones, and the other characters Obama surrounded himself with does not paint a favorable picture of his judgment.
